Mary (Hennesy) Harris

Mary Eunice (Hennesy) Harris, born in Middleport, Ohio, November 23, 1918, passed away at Arlington Court Nursing Center, October 19, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Martin Hennesy and Clara Crary Hennesy; her sister Melissa and her loving husband Gordon K. Harris. She attended Ohio University in Athens. Mary was a long-time member of Boulevard Presbyterian Church, where she was an organist for the choir, under the direction of Gordon. She also served as an elder and a deacon. Mary spent several years as a secretary for Trinity Methodist Church and volunteered at Riverside Methodist Hospital, where she frequently played the piano for patients and visitors. Mary is survived by her children, Gordon K. Harris, Jr. (Veda) and James R. Harris; her sister, Catherine Motley; grandchildren Grant, Valarie, Marjorie, Jason, Chelsea and Justin; great grandchildren Maggie, CJ, Mackenzie, Conner, Jagger, AJ, Mary, Karly and Kaitlin; and numerous nephews and nieces. Special thanks to Judy Emanuele for her love, care and support. A memorial service will be held at Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1235 Northwest Boulevard in Grandview Heights, on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at 2 p.m., Pastor Preston Shealy officiating.
