Penelope Bazler Abbot

Penelope “Penny” Bazler Abbot, age 69, of Grandview Heights, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 26, 2012 after a ten year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Penny, born on February 7, 1943 was a 1961 graduate of Grandview Heights HS, and received a Bachelor and Masters of Education from Ohio State. Penny is survived by husband, Steve, of 45 years, her three children Eric (Rose), Jeff (Betsy) & Heather (Tim) Hilditch, and 8 grandchildren (Reed, Trevor, Patrick, Jack, Andrew, Megan, Teddy and Brock). A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Penny taught kindergarten and worked as a guidance counselor at Grandview’s elementary schools for 25 years. She was an avid photographer, gardener and passionate fan of Ohio State. She lived by the golden rule, and always put family first. She and her beautiful smile will be missed, but never forgotten.
