Betty Lou Hubbard Irwin, 89, passed away May 9, 2018 at The Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. She was a long-time resident of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and resident at Three Creeks Senior Living Center in Gahanna, OH. Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Hank Hubbard, her second husband, Jack Irwin and step grandson Eric Schaefer. She is survived by her sister, Juanita Lee Weber, children, Jeannie Breen, Jan (John) Scheeler, Sue (Mitchell) Farley, and John Hubbard; nieces, Sharon (Harry) Linton and Nancy Milner; stepchildren, Janice (Phil)Schaefer, Cheryl (Ralph) Scheffer, Jim Irwin and Jack Irwin; grandchildren, Jim, Maria and Grace Breen, Daniel Scheeler, Drew (Misty)Farley, Rebecca Farley, Taylor and Carter Hubbard; step grandchildren Brian (Joslyn) Schaefer, John (Christy) Schaefer, Chris (Laura)Scheffer, John (Holly) Scheffer, Kathryn (Ryan) Rusch, and Andy Zeiner; great grandchildren Annilyse, Rory and Remy Farley; and step great grandchildren Elias and Susannah Schaefer, Ryker and Magnus Schaefer, Nathaniel and Abby Scheffer, Laiya, Noah, Micah, and Ella Scheffer, and Vivian Kunkle. Betty was born in Clarksburg WV, a graduate of Bexley High School, and Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH. She was a long time active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Upper Arlington and a book keeper retiring from Burgess and Niple, LTD. Betty is remembered for her devotion to family, spending special time with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren making memories with each one. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 3:30 PM at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Rd., Columbus, OH 43221.
