Robert Edwin DeMuth

The family of Robert Edwin DeMuth, is saddened to announce Bob passed away, December 12, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by his devoted family. He was born in Lima, Ohio, December 5, 1926. Graduate of Columbus North High School (1944) and received a BA in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University (1949). Veteran of the U.S. Navy, WW II. Robert was an accomplished design engineer and project leader, technical manager and sales engineer for over 46 years and was employed at Battelle Memorial Institute, AMP Inc., Midland Ross Grimes and Hamilton Avnet. He was Past-President of the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers, Past-Chairman of the Columbus Chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a Board Member of the Dublin Senior Center for 20 years. Bob loved spending time with family, vacationing at the beach and following the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a man of integrity, strength, love & compassion who had a zest for life. His legacy to his grandsons is to be honest & truthful, to love with all your heart your wife, your family & your friends. Above all else, live life to the fullest every minute that you are blessed with here on earth. Preceded in death by his parents Stella and Harold DeMuth; brothers Jack & James DeMuth and sister Dorothy Stormont. Survived by wife of nearly 70 years, Phyllis; daughters Sherri (Rick) Callison, Debbi (Gregg) Davis; son Rob (Brenda) DeMuth; grandchildren Chad (Shonda) Callison, Chrissy (Roger) Nienaber, Katie (Tim) Dye, Kimmie (Eli) Johnson, Jedd & Mattison Davis, Holly & Annie DeMuth; great grandchildren Delaney & Avery Callison, Ellie, Kate & Trey Nienaber, Cameron, Gabe & Peyton Dye and Samuel Johnson; many cherished friends and extended family. A receiving hour for Bob’s family and friends beginning at 10:00 am will be followed by an 11:00 am memorial service officiated by Pastor Kyle Doebler. Both will be held at the LIBERTY BARN CHURCH, 7080 Olentangy River Rd, Delaware, OH 43015 on Tuesday, December 27.
