Ann Elizabeth Callihan

Ann Callihan, a long time resident of Grandview who also lived for many years on Northwest Boulevard, died peacefully on September 30, 2010 while among her close family. Ann, a resident of The Sanctuary in Dublin Ohio, was comfortably and cheerfully cared for by its wonderful staff in the last months of her life, and enjoyed the many new friendships she made there. She was also lovingly assisted in her end of life journey by the dear, dear staff of Home Reach Hospice. Ever the matriarch with the loving "be careful" and "love ya" as consistent part of her daily vocabulary, she was a resourceful, hard working, caring and loving mother, grand- and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Judy Martling of Grandview, her grandchildren Matt, Megan, Molly, and her great grandchildren Addie and Parker; her daughter Janice Roberts, of Columbus, her grandchildren Tom, Stacey, and Stephanie, and her great grandchildren Alyssa, Alexis, Alana, Justice, John, Jack, Luke, Alfie, and Ben; and her son Jim Callihan of New Hampshire, her grandchildren Jeni and Jessi, and great grandchildren Addie and Finn. In lieu of a service, friends are asked to give their own loved ones a special hug, kind thought, or get busy cooking the next family meal. "Nanny" liked fried chicken. Private family service.
