Arlene Keethler of Columbus died Saturday January 22, 2022 at Ohio Living-Westminster Thurber where she had resided for the past 6 years. She was born in Canton Ohio on January 12, 1939 to the late August and Alberta Mae Frankovich. Arlene graduated from Canton South High School in 1957 and moved to Columbus, completing studies at Columbus University in 1960. She retired from the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services in 1988. During her career she was active in the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security, serving in several leadership roles. After retirement Arlene served the homeless through the Interfaith Hospitality Network, Faith Mission and various ministries at First Community Church where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her sister Marilyn Schreiber. She is survived by sister Gloria (Larry) Hackenberg; nephews Luke (Melissa) Hackenberg, Aaron Hackenberg and Matt Hackenberg; niece Lindsay (Eric) Cameron; great-nieces Nadia Compton, Leia Hackenberg, August Hackenberg, and Ruby Hackenberg; great-nephew Leo Compton; and many other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, February 5th at First Community Church South Campus, 1320 Cambridge Blvd. Columbus, OH 43212.
