Carol Sue Newkirk, age 68, of Columbus, Ohio, peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2014. Preceded in death by her parents, Howard W. and Cathryn N. Newkirk and her brother, Edward Newkirk. Survived by her brother, William Newkirk. Carol will be missed by caregiver and friend of 25 years, Valerie Williams along with her roommates, friends and staff at her home on Morse Road and her co-workers, friends and staff at ARC East. Carol’s family would like to thank all those above and others who helped care for her and who helped make her life as good as it was. Carol was not dealt a good hand but, because of help from others mentioned above, she was a winner and her celebration is beginning in heaven. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice on behalf of Carol would be appreciated. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday 10:00-11:00 AM at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave., Grandview Hts., where a service will follow at 11:00 AM.
