Carrie Louise (Cromwell) Rausch, age 109, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018. She was born in Columbus on January 3, 1909 to the late Richard and Lillian Cromwell. Her remarkably long life and amazing spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her, and her greatest joy was to be with friends and family. Carrie Lou was a true lady who believed in healthy living, starched curtains, a well-set table, and always looking her best. She was the life-long sweetheart of her dear husband Paul, who passed away in 1995. She is survived by her children, Judson Rausch and Susan Hatfield; her grandchildren Seth (Rachel) Hatfield, Ryan (Tristin) Rausch, Craig (Ingrid) Smith, and Chris (Andy Nguyen) Smith; great grandchildren Connor, Alex, Sydney, Emily, Morgan, Hatcher, and Devin; and niece Judy (Howard) Warner and nephew Geoff (Nancy) Rausch and their families. Carrie Lou was a long-time member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, where a celebration of her life will be held in the spring. Online condolences may be made at www.deyodavis.com.
