Clarence E. "Gene" Fulscher, 85, July 16, 2009 at Mayfair Village. Son of Clarence Christian Fulscher and Ora Belle Leffler. After graduating from Waverly High School, he worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad as a telegraph operator and later as a train dispatcher, Movement Director, Rules Examiner and Assistant Supervising Operator. He served in the U.S. Army with the 746 Railway Bn. in England, France, Germany and Belgium during WW II. In 1963, he left the railroad and started a Real Estate Company in selling, building and developing his own land. Member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, Hilliard American Legion #0614 and Linden Lodge #637 F & AM. Preceded in death by daughter Judy Fulscher Metzler. Survived by children David (Susan) Fulscher of Austin, TX, Patricia (Glen) Ash of Tipp City, OH and Thomas Eugene Fulscher of Hilliard; sisters Betty Smith of Waverly, OH and Dorothy Metters of Grandview Hts.; 5 grandchildren. Friends may call at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave., Grandview Hts., Sunday 2-4 p.m. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery, Waverly, OH. Pastor Paul Ulring officiating.
