Clarence Henry "Hank" Peterson passed away December 6th, 2010 at Friendship Village of Dublin. Former resident of Upper Arlington. Hank was born June 11, 1920 at the family ranch near Saguache, CO. He graduated from Saguache High School in 1938 and worked as a mechanic and ranch hand in the San Luis Valley until he joined the Army in 1942. After teaching mechanics in Georgia and serving in Austria during WWII, he was honorably discharged in 1945. Hank then attended the University of Colorado in Boulder where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Here, he met his future wife Naomi. They relocated to Columbus, Ohio where Hank furthered his education and became a patent agent. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and the Northwest Garden Club. He is survived by his brother, Harry "Pete" Peterson, goddaughter Jennifer Spiker and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Naomi (Burk) Peterson, mother Lola (Murphy) Peterson, father Samuel August Peterson, brother Bob Peterson and sister Georgia Henrichs (Jerry). Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the DEYO DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave., Grandview Hts. Interment Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church.
