Retired Forgeing Die Maker for the former Columbus Bolt Works and the Columbus Auto Parts on Hudson St. Graduate of West High School (1938),Veteran WW II. Member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Bexley Post #430, 50 year member of West Gate Lodge #623 F. & A.M. Preceded in death by infant twin sons; parents Alvin and Evelyn Martin Calendine; brothers Roy, Nelson and Paul Calendine; sister Leona Ruck. Survived by wife of 65 years Thelma R. (Kuhn) Calendine; daughters Barbara (Dave) Meese of CO and Beverly A. Lee of AZ; grandchildren Carl and Carin Meese of CO, Melissa and Jonathan Lee of AZ; sister Evelyn Forbes of Columbus; sister-in-law Ellen Calendine of Columbus; special nephew Corwin L. (Faith) Kuhn of Columbus; many loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave., Grandview Hts., Thursday 2-4 p.m. to be followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. Rev. David Griebner officiating. Private interment Green Lawn Cemetery. In Don's honor, a Celebration of Life service will be held in the spring time, time to be announced later.
