Donald R. Kibbey

Donald R. Kibbey, age 92 of Columbus passed away at Westminster-Thurber on Thursday, April 2, 2015.  Donald was born November 27, 1922 in Hamden, Ohio to Wilber and Lessie Kibbey. Donald is survived by his wife of 69 years, Norma; sons Kenneth (Sheryl) and Thomas (Judith); daughter-in-law Jacquelyn; grandchildren Kyrsten, Grant (Samantha), Shane (Sarah), Kristofer, and Elinor; and great-grandchildren Emma, Logan, Hope, and Simeon. Donald was preceded in death by brothers Wilbur and Robert, son William who died in 2005, and daughter Donna who passed away in 2007. Donald was in the Civilian Conservation Corps in California and Oregon, served in Algiers in the Army Air Corps during World War II, was an Industrial Engineering professor at the Ohio State University for 30 years, and he and Norma drove to Alaska five times. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 13 at 11:00 AM  at Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1235 Northwest Boulevard, Columbus. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Boulevard Presbyterian Church for One Great Hour of Sharing.
