Dorothy Ellen Fink

Dorothy Ellen Lindsay Fink, 91, died Sunday, May 2 at Westminster-Thurber Community. Preceded in death by loving husband, Edwin Jordan Fink; son, Edwin Lindsay Fink; daughter, Dorothy Suellen Fink Combs; and sister, Mary Francis Phillippe. Survived by sister, Clara Lou Bohleber, Carmi, IL; sons (wives) Robert W. (Sherry) Fink, San Rafael, CA, and Dr. David J. (Amelia) Fink, Baltimore, MD; son in law, Stephen (Deirdre) Combs of Yountville, CA; grandsons Elliott Fink, San Rafael, CA, Matthew (Andrea) Schneider, Cincinnati, OH, and Douglas (Tanya) Schneider, Arlington, VA; great grandchildren Abigail and Andrew, Samson and Lukas; many nephews and their children; and many very faithful friends. She was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, and taught home economics at Grandview Hts. H.S. for over 20 years. She was a member of Boulevard Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, sang in the choir and was a friend to the sick and elderly. She was president of the Adonis Fraternity Mother's Club. She was an accomplished weaver, and loved gardening, bird watching and traveling. She will be missed by all who knew her. Friends may call at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave., Grandview Hts., Friday 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. where service will be Saturday 10:30 a.m. Pastor James Sledge officiating. Private interment service in Lawrenceville, IL on May 9. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grandview Hts. Library Foundation or the Endowment Fund of Boulevard Presbyterian Church.
