Esther W. Newell

Esther W. Newell, born 12/29/1921 in Newark, Ohio to Paul Sterling Wolverton and Bessie Bane Cochran Wolverton and died 11/4/2015 at her home in Grandview Hts. surrounded by family. Esther’s mother passed when she was 9. She worked for North American Aviation, Owens Corning Glass Plant and Oliver Farm Equipment. Member of First Community Church, Couple’s Circle #36 and a long-time volunteer at the Trading Post. Active at Leatherlips Yacht Club and volunteered at the Women’s Squaw group and the Junior Racing program. She was a tennis player and Co-Captain of the Grandview Women’s Tennis Team. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters Clarence, Harold, Richard, Roderick, Alma, Helen Mildred and Virginia. Survived by husband George W. Newell whom she married in February, 1957 and daughter Amy L. Newell Huston (Peter).   At her request, there will be no service.
