Floyd Henderson, 100, of Upper Arlington, died Wednesday, December 6, at Sunrise on the Scioto. He was born April 23, 1906 in Cadiz, Ohio, to the late A.G. and Ona (Hennen) Henderson. He was a member of First Community Church, Men's Breakfast Club, Republican Men's Glee Club, and was a 32nd degree Mason. When he lived in Caldwell, Ohio, he was active in the United Methodist Church, Lions Club and served on the boards of Area Agency on Aging, Community Action, Crippled Children's Society. A 1928 graduate of Ohio State University, he attended OSU football games until he was 98. He also had a masters degree from Cornell University. Until his retirement in 1965, he worked as an Agriculture Extension Agent in Jackson and Noble Counties and was a strong supporter of the 4-H program. His interests included gardening, world travel, family history, talking to people. Floyd is survived by his wife, Doris King Henderson; daughter, Arlene (Robert) Titko; stepdaughters, Kerry Harvey, Lynn Forrest; stepson Ken (Patti) King; grandchildren, Maria Titko, Michael Titko; step grandchildren, Lisa King, Kyle Harvey, Jacqueline Harvey, Corey Logsdon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Tresch Henderson, his second wife, Dorothy Hammans Henderson; his sister, Wilma (Ralph) Barger; and stepson, Joe King. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 20,2006 at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Boulevard, Columbus 43212. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homereach Hospice, 3593 Olentangy River Road, Columbus 43214; Grace Henderson-Dorothy Henderson Scholarship Fund, Ohio State University or 4-H.
