Harold David Koutz, 58, died December 5, 2010 at the Koutz family farm in Adams County, Ohio. Born October 30, 1952 and raised in Grandview Heights, where he still maintained the family home. Preceded in death by parents Evelyn Lucille Thompson Koutz (2005) and Fleetwood Raymond Koutz, Sr. (1969), and brother Larry Paul (2006). Survived by brother, Fleetwood, Jr. of Reno; sister, Norma Jean Koutz Wallace of Columbus; nephews, Ted Koutz, Benjamin and Cameron Wallace. Also survived by two aunts and numerous cousins and their families who will miss him. 1970 graduate of Grandview Heights High School and Ohio State University in 1975. Retired Major, US Army, veteran of Desert Storm, served in Korea and Germany. Longtime Boy Scout leader and Eagle Scout. Harold was an avid hiker and outdoorsman, helping to build trails for many organizations, including the Buckeye Trail Association. Harold's December 11 funeral was at West Union and burial at Cherry Fork Cemetery in Adams County, next to his mother and father. A Columbus memorial service, starting and ending with live bagpipe hymns, will be held Saturday, January 29th, at 3:00 p.m., with visiting hours beforehand from 1:00-3:00 p.m., at DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 West First Avenue, Grandview Hts., (614) 486-2445.
