Ivan L. Davis

Ivan L. Davis, 89, long-time resident of Grandview Heights, passed away January 6, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born and raised in Oak Hill, Ohio and was very proud of his Welsh heritage. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WW II. Ivan was a licensed funeral director for over 60 years and President of the Deyo-Davis Funeral Home. Long-time member of First Baptist Church, Triangle Lodge #748 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, Aladdin Shrine, Beacon Chapter #593 O.E.S. and the Northwest Garden Club. Ivan was a Charter Member and Past-President of the Tri-Village Sertoma Club where he truly enjoyed the many years of fellowship and community service. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruby; infant daughter Melinda Lou; sisters Arline, Mary Margaret, Ethel and twin Lucille, and infant brother David. Survived by his children Pamela Yun and Jeffrey (Jean) Davis; grandsons Jason (Katie) and Jesse (Fiona) Yun; Jonathan, James and Jared Davis; great granddaughter Avani Yun; nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends may call at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave. Grandview Hts., Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1235 Northwest Blvd. Dr. Paul Large officiating. Graveside service 2 p.m. at Horeb Cemetery, Oak Hill, Ohio.
