James H. Neff

James "Hob" Neff, passed away April 14, 2012 at Westminster-Thurber Health Care Center. Preceded in death by parents Rev. Homer and Irene Neff, sister Clarice Luther and brother Robert C. Neff. Survived by his loving wife Selina "Sally" Neff; children David (Elaine) Neff, Thomas (Teresa) Neff, Deborah (Russ) Frost, Lori Kokales and friend Doyle Westbrook; grandchildren Ryan and Ellen Neff, Christopher (Corie) Neff, Briana Neff, Nathan and Ian Frost, Eleni, Evan, Nicholas and Samuel Kokales and great granddaughter Haley Neff. Mr. Neff, a former deacon and elder was an active member of Boulevard Presbyterian Church. He served in the Army Air Corps in WW II. The Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. in April 2011 was a cherished memory. An avid Sports fan, he was proud of his hole in one on the 17th hole at Thornapple Golf Course. A graduate of Muskingum College and OSU, he served as Elementary Principal in Mt. Vernon, Grandview Heights and Hilliard. A celebration of life will be held at Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1235 Northwest Blvd. on Saturday, May 19 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Homereach Hospice, 800 McConnell Dr., Columbus, OH 43214.
