James R. Nicholson

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, James R. Nicholson, 71, September 24, 2007 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Graduate of Mt. Sterling High School and The Ohio State University in Aeronautical Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer. Retired as Superintendent of Process Engineering for General Motors. Member of Boulevard Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and Elder. Member of Avery Lodge #493 F. & A.M., Triangle Engineering Fraternity, Sigma Gamma Tau Engineering Honorary Fraternity, former Scoutmaster for Troop 73. Survived by wife Patricia; daughter Heather (David) Marshall; sons Mark (Deanna) Nicholson and Jamie (Sandy) Nicholson; sister Joan (John) Veldhuizen; brothers John Nicholson, David (Barbara) Nicholson and Gary Nicholson; grandchildren Katie, Lindsey & Benjamin Marshall; Phillip, Megan & Abbi Nicholson; Stephanie, Ashleigh & James Nicholson. Friends may call at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave., Grandview Hts. Wednesday 6-8 p.m. Funeral service Thursday 1 p.m. at Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1235 Northwest Blvd. Pastor James Sledge officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
