Jean Wilcox Obituary

Jean Durand Wilcox passed away on February 20, 2021. She was born in Canada and grew up in Orrville, Ohio. She graduated from OSU with a degree in music. Jean's husband Henry, the love of her life, suffered from Parkinson’s disease for many years until his passing in 1994. Jean was exceptionally devoted to Henry throughout illness. Jean was also preceded in death by her parents, Chalmer & Edith Durand, and her brother and his wife, John & Alpha Durand. Jean taught piano lessons for many years and later volunteered at several senior living facilities. Jean and Henry delighted in her young piano students, and she developed lasting friendships with many of her students and their families. She was a loyal friend and will be missed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Deyo-Davis funeral home. Due to the current COVID situation, no formal services are scheduled.
