John S. "Stu" Fail, Sr., 81, of Grandview Hts., September 11, 2012 at Kobacker House. He was born November 7, 1930 to the late Charles and Frances Fail in Columbus, Ohio. John served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He bowled many years in several bowling alleys in the Columbus area. He also loved gardening and had a plot in the Wallace Gardens for about 25 years. He was employed by Loch Lomond and was a member of the Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18. Preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by wife of 59 years Patricia (Masters); daughter and son-in-law Pam and Harold Gilbert of Gahanna, son John S. Fail, Jr. of Worthington; grandsons Phillip (Beth) Gilbert, Greg (Shannon) Gilbert; great grandsons Graham and Conner Gilbert; brother Earl of Grove City; sister Betty (Charlie) Smotherman of Mt. Gilead; sister-in-law Jackie Abbruzzese, brothers-in-law Norris Masters, Robert (Diane) Masters and Donn (Wan-Ok) Masters. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Avenue, Grandview Hts.
