Jolene (Jo, MaJo) Lancaster Plunkett, 71, March 30, 1942- October, 9, 2013. Born in Cincinnati, OH. Graduate of Grandview High School (class of '60) and Miami University (class of '64). Jo married her childhood friend James (Jim) on December 27, 1965. They have two children, Stephanie (Darin Dykstra) and David (Kim Swensen) and four grandsons, Colin, Rain, Jacob and Finn. Jolene Jock was an avid athlete who played tennis until her knees wouldn't let her and skied until her doctor told her to give it up. Jo's world traveling adventures started with a summer trip to Europe after graduating from college. She joined these two passions by visiting the Olympic Games throughout the world. Jo taught Home Economics for five years before becoming a successful local real estate broker, reaching the Ten Million Dollar Club. Jo was an amateur photographer and documented her life, friends, and experiences in volumes of photo albums, which included mementos and hand-written notes. Jo was a true friend to so many people and never met a stranger. Jo is survived by her loving and devoted husband, children, and grandchildren; her mother Elizabeth (Mama Liz) Lancaster and sisters Reeva, Marleen, and Peggy. Jo was preceded in death by her father Wilbur (Pop) Lancaster. MaJo was loved and will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her loud laugh and for living life to its fullest. "Life may not be the party we hoped for... but while we are here we might as well dance!" A life celebration will be held at a favorite German Village neighborhood spot, Frank Fetch Park (Dixon and E. Beck) on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 2-4 pm.
