Lorna D. "Skip" Karlovec, 83, of Grandview Heights, January 23, 2009 at Arlington Court Nursing Home. Graduate of Grandview Heights High School 1943 and The Ohio State University 1947. Member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Grandview Alumni Association and Life Member of Grandview Historical Society. Preceded in death by parents Elmo Virgil and Octa Almay Donaldson, brother Irving Donaldson and husband Gene "Tank" Karlovec. Survived by sons Jerry (Linda) Karlovec, John Karlovec; daughter Linda (Michael) Casasanta; grandchildren Mike, Pat and Joe Karlovec, Tom and Katie Casasanta; sister Nancianne Nardone; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1581 Cambridge Blvd. Rev. Philip Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Special thanks to the staff at Arlington Court and Avia for their compassionate care.
