Margaret E. Wood, 84, August 26, 2008. Resident of Upper Arlington, formerly of Green Valley, Arizona. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Louis E. Wood, sons Michael L. and Rolfe E. Survived by daughter Carol (Steve) Stowe, grandchildren Casey, Zachary and Corinne Stowe. Daughter Susan Wood, grandchildren Kristina Hamilton; Shane Ball and seven great grandchildren. Brother Andrew (Donna) Robertson. Margaret was born in Iowa and later moved to a farm in Ohio. After graduation from Meigs HS, she moved to Columbus and became one of the first female police officers in the city. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Northwest United Methodist Church, 5200 Riverside Dr., Pastor Tom Slack officiating. Private interment in Marion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.
