Mary Frances Hord, 92, resident of Grandview Hts, passed peacefully July 24, 2010 at Abbington of Arlington. Born and raised in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Graduate of St. Vincent DePaul High School (1937) and Columbus Business School where she met her husband of 72 years, Oliver. She worked for Sheriam Industries making puppets for "Lucy's Toy Shop," did knitting for Little Hands which provided blankets and preemie outfits for hospitals and worked for Boulevard Sales & Service. Preceded in death by parents Nellie and Harry Weber, brother Harry Weber, Jr. and granddaughter Jackie Hord. Survived by husband Oliver W. Hord; sons Darryl of North Fort Myers, FL, Jim (Judy) of Grandview Hts., Roger (Barbara) of Grandview Hts., and Dennis (Pamela) of Mt. Vernon, OH; 16 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren; cousin John David Williams of Akron, OH. Friends may call at DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. 1st Ave; Grandview Hts., Monday 6-8 p.m. where a prayer service will be Tuesday 10 a.m. Fr. Ted Thomas officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
