Mary Elisabeth (Hay, Drumm) Menendian, age 102, passed away Wednesday July 2nd, 2014. Born in Ashville, OH on April 16, 1912 to Edward B. Hay and Susette Victoria Hay Assell. She taught 1st grade in Ashville, co-owned Best Paint Store, and was salesperson extraordinaire at The House of Fashion until retirement at age 82. She served her community as past-president of Downtown Lions Club Auxiliary, past president of Twig 74, and as current member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church singing in the choir, attending Iris Bible Study, and helping with the church newsletter. Elisabeth was ever-positive and was passionate about traveling the world, playing bridge, spending time in her overflowing flower gardens, and cheering on the Buckeyes. Her greatest love was for family and friends, filling the house with joy through her sparkling eyes and wonderful laugh. Elisabeth is preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl Kenneth Drumm (1964), and husband Ernest Armen Menendian (2003). Her legacy lives on through her daughter Lisa Beth (Drumm) Reynolds (Hugh J Leslie III), granddaughter Sarah Elisabeth Beaker (Craig), and beloved extended Menendian Family. Friends may call at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave., Monday 4-7 PM. Funeral service will be 11 AM Tuesday at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, 2300 Lytham Rd, followed by interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In Elisabeth's memory, contributions may be made to Upper Arlington Lutheran Church.
