Mildred M. Royer Schaaf passed away January 7, 2013 at Westminster-Thurber Community. She was born on June 27, 1920, to Floyd and Madge (nAC.e Budd) Barrows. Mildred could best be described as feisty. She protected and cared for many loved ones in their later years. She was an avid card player, devoted to her Church, and a loyal supporter of Capital University. Mildred was preceded in death by her husbands Howard Royer and Laurence Schaaf, and daughter Janice Royer. She is survived by her son David (Anita), grandsons Bryan (Kendra) and Daryl (Abby), newborn great granddaughter Maggie, brother Ralph Barrows, sister Helen Pickard Mallory and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave., Grandview Hts., Reverend Thomas Wolfe of Christ Lutheran Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 9-11 Saturday. Interment in Galena Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215.
