Patrick Joseph Mascaro

Patrick Joseph Mascaro passed away at the James Cancer Hospital, embraced by his family, on January 20, 2016. He was born on August 13, 1948 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, son of Patsy and Mary (Zurzolo) Mascaro. Since the age of 12, Pat knew he wanted to be a Pharmacist. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from West Virginia University and a Masters Degree from The Ohio State University. He committed his life to helping people. initially with Rite-Aid, and then with the Ohio Department of Mental Health. Beloved by his customers and co-workers, Pat could turn a complete stranger into a lifelong friend. As much as he gave to those around him, he gave even more to the pharmacy community as a Past President of the Academy of Pharmacy of Central Ohio and as an Adjunct Guest Lecturer at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. While he committed much of his energy to Central Ohio, his heart always remained in West Virginia. Preceded in death by his brothers Samuel Mascaro and Mario Mascaro, he is survived by his wife, Chrissada (Lampros) Mascaro; his daughters Nicole Mascaro and Marisa Mlicki (Jason); his sister, Angela Morrison; his 5 grandchildren; and his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
