Philip J. Boswell, "The Bozz", 72, of Grandview Hts., May 23, 2010 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. Veteran U.S. Army. Survived by wife JoAnn, son Lance (Carla) Boswell; daughter Dawn (Kieran) McKinney; grandchildren Mallory, Emma and Leah Boswell; step-mother Marilyn Boswell; brother Greg (Rita) Boswell; sister-in-law Karen (Bob) Claussen; several nephews. he had a fun loving personality that could make anyone laugh. You could spot his smile a mile away because it was full of joy and lit up the whole room. Phil had a passion for sports, especially the OSU Buckeyes, which translated to his "job" owning his sporting goods store, Second Sole. A born salesman who could sell anything. However, success to Phil was measured by the time spent with family which was his passion in life. By this measure, he lived an extremely successful life. If he wasn't with family, his favorite spot would be out on the golf course or watching his favorite golfer (and if you know Phil, you know who we are talking about). Friends may call at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave., Grandview Hts., Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. where service will be Thursday at 11 a.m., Rev. James Long officiating. Private internment. The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of Mt. Carmel Hospital for their care and compassion. Friends may, if they wish, contribute to the American Cancer Society.
