Ralph B. "Ted" Roan, Jr., 94, born 9/2/1918 in Bridgeport, Ohio, passed away February 13, 2013 at Kobacker House. Graduated from Marietta College and was a veteran of U.S. Navy, WW II. He was an agent for Principal Insurance Company. Former City Council member for Grandview Heights and Past-President of Grandview Bobcat Boosters. Preceded in death by wife Jean; parents Rev. Ralph and Martha Roan, Sr., brother Don Roan and sister Theone Reeder. Survived by daughters Carol (Jeff) Todd and Nancy (Bob) Williams; grandchildren Sandy Todd (Jim Barrett), Lori (Matt) Petrie, Kristi Todd and Rob Williams; great grandchildren Anna and Samantha Petrie; nephews Jerry Reeder, Bob (Pat) Reeder, Pat (Ritchey) Magee and Tim Magee; good friends and staff at Mayfair Village Assisted Living and Sue, James, Hillary and Farrah, his hospice team from HomeReach Hospice. The family will receive friends at the DEYO-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 1578 W. First Ave., Grandview Hts., Saturday, February 23rd, 1-3 p.m. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Marietta, Ohio.
