Ruth was a life-long resident of Grandview Heights, having graduated from Grandview High School in the class of 1935. Upon graduation she attended business college in Columbus. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she and her late husband, G. W. Fais were very active in the Hathmars. Having joined Trinity on January l, 1925, Ruth had the longest duration of membership of any living member. She held memberships in the Grandview Civic Welfare Club, having served as Treasurer; the Tri Delt Mothers; The Phi Gamma Delta Mothers and the Columbus Women's Bar Auxiliary. Ruth's greatest joys in life were her love of family and autumn vacations to New England and Williamsburg with her loving husband. She will forever be remembered for the wonderful Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas celebrations and we will never forget her allegiance to Ohio State football and basketball. At Ruth's request, a private family service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, Rev. Philip Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, persons may contribute to the American Diabetes Association, the Parkinson Society of Central Ohio or Traditions at Mill Run. The family would like to extend our appreciation for the loving care she received while at Traditions at Mill Run.
