Shirley Kay (Crabbs) Timmons, born September 9, 1935, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2018 after over eight months in Hospice care. Preceded in death by her beloved son, Craig Allen Timmons; her parents, Nevin Crabbs and Leona Blanche (Quigg); and sisters Jane Gelpi and Joan Davis. Survived by her daughter Cathie (Marv) Briskey of Hilliard; son Gary Timmons of Kansas City; and grandchildren Chelsea, Jennifer, Matthew and Rachel. Shirley lived most of her life in Grandview Heights, which she adored. Her two toy poodles, Candy and Oreo, were the delight of her life. She loved to camp and spent many weekends traveling around Ohio in her camper. Shirley was a voracious reader and amassed an impressive library. When not reading or camping, Shirley worked as an Administrative Assistant for The Ohio State University and Battelle Memorial Institute, from which she retired. She will be deeply missed by her children, whom she very successfully raised as a single mother. No formal services will be held at this time. A private family celebration will be held later this summer. The family wishes to extend its deepest appreciation to Mayfair Village and Mount Carmel Hospice, especially Emily, Chris, Brandy, Charlie and Danielle. You are all truly angels on Earth.
