Thomas L. Owens, 72, April 28, 2010, at his home in Columbus after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Formerly of Upper Arlington. Former officer with the Upper Arlington Police Department and owner of Tom Owens Insurance Agency and later became a partner of Dressel, Crews & Owens Insurance Agency. Member of New Life United Methodist Church and Neocacia Lodge #595 F. & A.M. He was an avid golfer and member of the USGA. Also an avid photographer and motorcycle enthusiast and recent member of the Honda Goldwing Trike Assn. Preceded in death by parents William "Bill" and Lola Owens; wife Audrey M. Owens; sister Joan Wright; grandson David M. Zorger. Survived by children Geoffrey (Joyce) Zorger, Debbie (Richard) Groce, Christopher L. (Caroline) Owens, Susan Zorger Breece, Holly (Patrick) Tufts; grandchildren Christopher (Annie) Groce, Daniel (Rachel) Zorger; great grandson Lief Zorger.
